About

Hello and welcome to my blog.

This summer I am teaching LIS 9631: Collections Development & Management Practices in Academic Libraries.

I first taught this course in 2006, and I kept old-fashioned handwritten notes about the course.

It was a reflective diary of sorts to help me, as an instructor, prepare for the teaching the course again.

Here is the 2007 and the upcoming 2008 versions of the reflective diary about my collections development course.

And, I digress from time to time with other ramblings about other topics not related to collections development.

I am passionate about my family, my friends, my cats, books & reading, teaching & education, lifelong learning, libraries (big and small), librarianship, spirtualism, feminism, my job and, of course, collections development.

  1. I have just been checking out all the useful and interesting stuff on this blog. The link to Library 2.0 is so relevant to what we are going to be discussing in Public Libraries class this afternoon. Thanks for making it available.
